In a dazzling ceremony at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad on May 31, 2025, Thailand's Opal Suchata Chuangsri was crowned Miss World 2025, becoming the first Thai woman to ever win the title. The 22-year-old student of Political Science at Thammasat University impressed judges and audiences alike with her grace, intelligence, and authenticity.
Opal’s standout moment came during the final question round, where she was asked about her greatest personal responsibility. Her eloquent response, emphasizing the importance of truth and compassion in a divided world, earned her a standing ovation and sealed her place as the winner. She succeeded Karolina Bielawska of Poland, Miss World 2021, following a hiatus of live events due to global disruptions.
