Netflix has officially announced that it will end support for first-generation Amazon Fire TV Sticks beginning June 3, 2025, citing hardware limitations and the need to optimize performance for newer devices.
Why the Change?
The decision affects users still operating the first-gen Fire TV Stick, launched in 2014. As Netflix continues to roll out more data-intensive content, such as 4K streaming, interactive titles, and AI-enhanced recommendations, the outdated hardware can no longer keep pace with its evolving platform requirements.
