About this tool
Split PDFs by page range, cut video & audio by timestamp, extract archives — free online.
FlipFileZone's file splitter handles four common split operations in one tool. Split a PDF into custom page ranges, cut a video or audio track into time-stamped segments using stream copy (no re-encoding, no quality loss), or extract every file from a ZIP, RAR or 7z archive. All outputs are packaged into a single ZIP ready for instant download. No software, no account.
How to use — step by step
Upload your file
Drag and drop or click to select a PDF, video, audio, or archive file. The tool auto-detects the file type.
Configure split points
For PDFs: add page ranges (e.g. pages 1-3, then 4-10). For video/audio: add time segments with start and end timestamps. Archives are extracted automatically.
Click Split
Hit the Split button to upload and process. A progress bar tracks the operation in real time.
Download the ZIP
All output parts are bundled into one ZIP file. Click Download ZIP to save everything at once.

Features
PDF page ranges
Define as many custom page ranges as you need — each becomes its own PDF file inside the output ZIP.
Video & audio segments
Specify HH:MM:SS start and end points for each segment. Files are stream-copied — no re-encode, no quality loss, instant.
Archive extraction
Unpack ZIP, RAR, and 7z archives into individual files bundled into a clean ZIP for easy download.
Lossless video splitting
Video and audio segments are split using ffmpeg stream copy — the exact same bytes, just a different time range.
Single ZIP download
All output parts are packed into one ZIP file so you download everything in one click.
Private & secure
Files are processed on our servers and deleted immediately after download. We never keep your data.
Frequently asked questions
Does video splitting re-encode the file?
No. We use ffmpeg stream copy, which cuts the file at keyframe boundaries without re-encoding. This means no quality loss and near-instant processing.
Can I split a PDF into individual pages?
Yes. Leave the page-ranges list empty to split every page into its own PDF. Or add specific ranges like 1-5, 6-10 to group pages.
What archive formats are supported?
ZIP is supported natively. RAR requires the rarfile library and 7z requires py7zr — both are installed on production servers.
Is there a file size limit?
The maximum upload size is 200 MB. For larger files, consider compressing them first using our Compress tool.
Are the output files re-compressed in the ZIP?
The ZIP uses DEFLATE compression for PDF/text files. Video and audio parts are stored without additional compression since they are already compressed.
